 Greetings unto the Midrealm from Earl Sir Tarquin, Deputy Earl Marshal for Target Archery, By the time you read this Pennsic will be just a memory. Officially, the East kingdom ceded the war and I would like to thank all those gentles who came out to shoot war point anyway. Over all turnout on the archery field was poor, unfortunately without the data showing exactly how many archers from each kingdom actually shot, it is difficult to determine the reason. Most of the talk at Pennsic concerning the outcome of the war was concerning how, more than likely, the East would not show up because they had already lost the war. Though numbers seemed to be down on both sides, it was the Midrealm on the archery field who had fewer archers show up to shoot. We were the ones not bothering to shoot because we had already won the war. It was embarrassing to have fewer numbers than the East -- something that hasn’t happened in a long time.

Greetings, The Fall harvest is set to begin, and as the leaves turn so do Midrealm fighters seek to improve their prowess on the tournament field. I’m starting a new experimental weapon that is also being tested a number of other kingdoms- the super low-profile single hand thrusting tip. Please contact your regional marshal, Sir Omarad or myself if you’re interested in participating in this program. You’ll be able to recognize these thrusting tips by their red and green color. As you may have heard, there is a required modification to all combat archery arrows. The modification is stated as follows and can also be found on the Midrealm Marshals page:

Greetings from the Earl Marshal:
1. The following post is on the Society Marshals page and was posted on July 21, 2008. It clarifies the fact that we can use either the two piece or banned on fiberglass one piece on Sil-0-flex. Would you please see that the old posting is removed from the Marshals page and replaced by the new one. |
